MCR Property Group has announced its refurbished Universal Square Business Centre (USBC) is 65% let just six months after launch, with 35 Manchester businesses snapping up the flexible office space.

Manchester's Universal Square Business Centre now 65% let

USBC, based in Ardwick, 1.5km from Manchester City Centre, launched in March to provide entrepreneurs with quality office space to support their businesses’ growth. The 15,000 sq. ft. space, which covers four floors of the Universal Square block, includes 69 fully-serviced offices, as well as relaxing co-working space, hot desks and meeting rooms.

New residents at Universal Square include Carillion, RMB Solicitors and Marsan Holdings, with Vinjuice, Technet, Gracetaste and Stannybrook Property consultants having recently moved in.

Chris Taylor, asset manager at Manchester-based MCR Property Group, said: “It’s great to see small businesses taking advantage of the space at Universal Square so soon after its launch.

“We expect Universal Square to be at full occupancy by the end of the year, and plan to roll the concept out across other MCR Property Group buildings across the UK.”

Universal Square is a fifteen minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly Station, and there is a free shuttlebus between the station and Universal Square. USBC will hold networking events to create a business community among its occupants.
