Cheshire-based Calderpeel Architects has been appointed to design a trio of luxury housing schemes in the region worth around £14.5m.
The practice has been appointed by high-end developer Altin Homes to design 24 contemporary four and five bedroom properties in Sale to be known as The Place. It has also designed a scheme on behalf of Regency Residential that’s set to revitalise the site of a former nightclub in Alderley Edge.
Meanwhile, construction work is already underway on another scheme designed by Calderpeel, the Residenza development on George Leigh Street, Ancoats, on behalf of Hillcrest Homes.
The Altrincham-based practice has also secured a host of superhome commissions on behalf of private clients, including new-builds commencing in Windermere, Bowdon and Hale.

The Place, on a two-acre site in Northenden Road, Sale, is one of Altin Homes’ ‘Bijou Collection’ developments where architectural design features and items of internal specification more typically seen in the company’s multi-million pound homes are built into a property of more modest proportions.
Regency Residential’s scheme on the former Yesterdays nightclub site, which closed 12 years ago, will see 12 flat-roofed, four-bed single-storey homes built on the four-acre green belt site between Alderley Edge and Wilmslow. The homes, which received planning permission in July, will be built around a lake and feature flat ‘green’ roofs designed to minimise visual impact on the surrounding area.
Hillcrest’s development on George Lee Street features an innovative design for 14 homes in the area of Ancoats that many Italian immigrants made it their home when they arrived in the mid-1800s to work in the booming cotton industry, hence the name ‘Residenza’.
The four-storey red brick homes are split ‘back to back’ into two rows of seven. Each home provides spacious and light-filled contemporary style accommodation, including enclosed gardens and terraces for alfresco dining and entertaining. All of the 14 homes have been sold off plan.
