A development of contemporary homes in Shrewsbury town centre that will breathe new life into one of the town’s major gateways has welcomed its first resident.
Susan Jones became the first buyer to seal the deal on a two-bedroom mews house at Albury Place, which is being built on the site of the former Salop Music Centre in St Michael’s Street.
It is now home to a mix of apartments, two bedroom mews homes and three bedroom town houses, within walking distance of the railway station and town centre.
The developer is SY Homes and the selling agent is Monks. The commercial team at Shrewsbury law firm FBC Manby Bowdler provided legal advice for the purchase of the site and its residential property team is acting as the conveyancer for individual plot sales on behalf of SY Homes.
Solicitor Laurie Carruthers said: “We have seen the transformation of this site since originally advising on the purchase of the commercial premises through to managing the sale of the first property.
