This house is worth 207 times more than the average UK home...

It’s well reported that increasing house prices are making it difficult for Brits to step onto the property ladder, but for celebs as rich as the Kardashians, they have no such problems. The average home in the UK is worth £228,147 which despite being a mere fraction of the price of the Kardashian Jenner sisters properties, feels as far off as their million dollar mansions. New research from Public Desire compares how long it would take Brits to able to aford some of California's most saught after real estate.

It would take the average Brit almost 1601 years and 9 months’ work to earn enough money to buy Kim and Kanye’s $60million Hidden Hills home. The house is 207 times more expensive than the average UK property, valued at £228,147.

Kylie and Kendall’s latest real estate isn’t much more affordable though; taking 359 years for Brits to earn enough to buy Kylie’s $13.45 million mansion and 226 years and 11 months to earn enough to buy Kendall’s. At $8.5 million, Kendall’s house is the lowest in price, yet it is still 29 times more expensive than the average UK home. Pretty crazy given we’re out here struggling to save for a 5% mortgage!

Despite house prices in London being seemingly unaffordable, wages are also higher. This means Londoners could afford to Kim, Kylie or Kendall’s properties much quicker than those in other cities in the UK. On a London wage even it would still take 864 years and 7 months to be able to purchase Kim’s house, and that’s using your full wage on it too.

See how the rest of the UK fared…
